What if your best practices are the worst

During a business call with an ERP consultancy implementing a new HR system, the HR consultants kept repeating same narrative to the client, we are deploying to your business the best HR practices. Hearing that for more than half an hour, I decided to stop this conversation and pointed out some flaws in their HR systems and processes. They were unwilling to accept them and lacked the ability to explore whether I am right or wrong. The client added more fire and questioned them more. The call was over and rescheduled to another date. Later, the client declined their offer and chose another vendor to deploy the required systems.

I do not blame much the ERP consultants for their arrogance and ignorance, it is who told them that their practices are the best and the most unquestionable.
