Waves of panic are orchestrated every day by the media featuring world leaders updating their nations on corona virus. Panicking people and telling them do not panic is ridiculous. It is irresponsible.

The most critical task for the world leaders is to assure their people that they are doing everything to protect them. Addressing the risks and revealing the facts are important, but not scaring people to death is crucial.

There is a huge difference between addressing people and panicking them. Supermarkets are empty across the world due to fear not to the interruptions in supply chains. Stock markets are panicking and crashing after each press release.

Be honest with people. but do not panic them. It is a very difficult leadership skill. This is why all world leaders everyday fail to do it and show it.
