Re-humanising Capitalism

We have many global problems, but we are lacking global and inspiring institutions with leaders who are powerful enough to effectively address them. Finding a way to participate in solving these and other problems is one of the great challenges of our time for leaders.

Global problems require global solutions. They also require leaders who identify them and give their loyalty to humanity and the web of life to solve them.

To change the world requires a new kind of thinking and new loyalties that transcend profits making. These viewpoints may put one at odds with some segments of society, but if some leaders do not have the vision and the courage to venture beyond the borders of conformity then change will never occur.

Businesses that exist to provide solutions to the problems that are facing the society will enable people to use the common moral sense to discern businesses that make the positive impact from those which do not. It is about addressing a social issue with a business model. It is a higher kind of capitalism. It is capitalism as it was ultimately meant to be, meeting important needs, not incrementally competing for trivial differences in product attributes and market share. Prosperity is when social value and economic value are created simultaneously. It is finding those opportunities that will unleash the greatest possibility in addressing these social problems.
