Who is the boss? Who reports to whom? In organisations striving to eliminate the top-down approach, the concept of “boss” shifts. True leaders aim for equality rather than hierarchy. Both the CEO and the CPO hold equal status, without one being superior to the other. While the CEO’s responsibilities may be broader, it doesn’t imply superiority. Embracing a collaborative ethos, both share leadership responsibilities. This approach aims to counter the bossy managerial style that often plagues organisations.
