Do leaders fire people?

Bringing the right people into the organisation is the leaders’ job. Getting people on board who culturally fit the business culture is also the leaders’ job. Most companies hire based on skills, the result is having people who always misalign and become misfits.

Coaching and inspiring “the misfits” to play tribally and culturally with other team members should be the leaders’ focus. If the misfits find the tribal rules unplayable and they are unable to mingle culturally with others. It is time for leaders to protect the tribe and show them the company’s doors.
