Automation and digitalization are not necessarily anti-humans in companies. I strongly believe that eliminating the red tape in companies is a must. Flexibility and smart working matter. There are too much compartmentalization and centralization. They promote agile working but glorify the status quo. You cannot work smart and still cherish the 17^th century factory model of working. Covid-19 has exposed most businesses and proved that there are loads of inefficient compartmentalization, overstaffing and red tape in most companies. I am not proposing laying off people on Zoom but It is time to rethink and reinvent all the critical business functions.
